A Wellness Photo is a non-invasive photograph of the inside of your eyes. It takes just a couple of minutes and provides the doctor a It provides a bird’s eye view of entire layers on the interior surface of the eye and allows your doctor to provide the most accurate diagnosis.
It is easier to visualize the details of the retina (the interior surface of the eye) in stereoscopic photographs rather than examining your eye directly and the photo is readily available for comparison to future photos. For this reason, yearly Wellness photos are strongly encouraged. A comprehensive series of Wellness photos allows the doctor to note any changes that may take place over time.
